I arrived in Sydney in mid October to a surprisingly chilly but beautifully sunny spell of weather. I arrived after spending 6 weeks in India and South Asia, which certainly makes you appreciate all that Australia can offer more. Sydney is very similar to any major English town, which some people may find a big put-off, however after 6 weeks in Asia, I really did miss the creature comforts which a fully developed country offers.

Prices in Australia
Recent years have seen prices increase greatly in Australia. Compared to the UK, this is now an expensive country, with a small schooner beer being more expensive than a beer in the UK by a few pounds! Hostels and Hotels can also be expensive too. This should not be a location if you are on a budget!
