Rio Lightning photos

The last few days have seen some violent thunderstorms in Rio which have made an excellent light show for us from our 15th floor vantage point across Rio from our flat in Lapa.

The lightning has been shooting down over Sugar Loaf Mountain and Santas Dumont airport most evenings which has given me some great shots with my DSLR camera.

Robbed in Lapa

Sadly, it does appear that all the bad things people say about Rio are true. We’ve only been in Rio for nine days – and living in Lapa for four and last night we were robbed.

Moving to Rio de Janiero, Brazil

On Tuesday one of the most exciting things in my life takes place… I fly to Rio de Janiero, Brazil to live for four months! Marju is working as a volunteer for Iko Poran for 5 months whilst I do – well – i’m not sure yet. Learn Portuguese and sunbathe I expect! In July I leave Marju alone {again } to head to Boston and on to Toronto with Shittler for Dave Whitmarsh’s wedding before arriving back in the UK on 10th August where the life planning starts again! Here begins the real Rio adventure!
